Book Blogger Hop & Follow Friday (7)

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Jennifer at Crazy-for-Books. In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read! So visit Crazy-for-Books to grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list there!

This week's question:

"What are you most looking forward to this fall/autumn season – A particular book release? Halloween? The leaves changing color? Cooler temperatures? A vacation?"

Definitely the cooler weather! Living in Houston, I am desperate for the temperatures to finally leave the 100s! I'm also eager for pumpkin spice lattes to return to Starbucks.

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee and Allison Can Read. Visit either of their blogs for complete rules of the following fun!

This week's question:

"If you could change the ending of any book (or series), which book would you choose? Why and to what?"

I have to say that I would change the ending of the Harry Potter series. I loved the seventh book, but I felt that the epilogue was a let-down after everything that had happened. I think the book would have been stronger without it.

What are your answers? Please leave a comment or a link to your blog!

  2. I also said Harry Potter! I felt like it was too sugary sweet and so very forced. I don't know what would have made a better ending, just something else.

  3. Hopping through. I liked the epilogue in HP but I wish instead that there'd been an epilogue book, not just a chapter.

  6. The end of the Harry Potter series was a bit anti-climactic. I could have done with a few more chapters, or books. LOL

  8. I'm looking forward to rains and thunderstorms. And I was disappointed when one of the twins died in Harry Potter:( I would definitely save him if I got the chance to change the ending.

  9. I agree with the weather I'm tired of the 100 plus degree weather.

I also agree with the hp series. I could have either done without the ending or a little more then just what she gave us.

  11. Cooler weather seems relatively popular...I suppose if you live in hot countries. England doesnt get that hot, so if the weather cooled down a lot, I think we'd be freezing....
    Following now!

  12. I didn't mind the ending so much as I felt it actually lead to another series that she hasn't written. Imagine Harry and the gang out and fighting wizard crime... could be good.

  13. Can totally understand about the weather! It's been flippin hot in St. Louis as well. And with our heat comes humidity. It's been bad. Sooo want cool weather!

I can understand why J.K. had the epilogue, but I did feel it was a little cheesy.

    Here's my Friday Hops

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  18. That's a good idea. I liked how she showed the future, though she could have strung that out into another book.
